Store and studio assistant (part-time)

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with a love for design. This role is to assist in the running of our design and lifestyle store, managing web orders and great customer service. Along with studio-based work, including the booking of workshops, materials and stock orders, social media promotion and general phone or email enquiries.

Initially, this position will be on a part-time basis 1/2 days during the week and Saturdays. Some days may be split shifts, working alongside another team member or alone.

We have a lot of creative projects happening along with the day to day overseeing of a vibrant shop and creative studio spaces. The ideal candidate needs to be someone who can multi-task and stay focused, extremely organised and a good planner with the flexibility to help out on any project when required. They must also have experience working in retail and a strong dedication to providing exceptional service for customers.

Responsibilities

Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

Maintaining outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards

Assist with the sales process by maintaining a fully stocked store

Use the company’s POS system (iZettle) in store and process online orders

Keep up to date with product information

Accurately describe product features and benefits in Store and online

Follow all companies policies and procedures

Respond to customers/workshop attendees enquiries via email and phone

Promote all aspects of Hey Ho through social media and online

Keep an organised calendar of events, workshop booking and orders.

Communicate regularly with the manager on all aspects of the business

Requirements

2+ years’ customer service experience preferred

Reliable, punctual, with the ability to work well as a team or alone

Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Friendly, helpful and excited about customer service.

Basic administration skills

Good organisation and planning skills essential. Work well to deadlines.

Be capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.

Great eye for detail with an interest in design, illustration and print.
